Over the past two decades, Marla Lepore has helped clients of all sizes address their creative and business goals, working as a writer, editor, copy editor, creative manager and marketing communications expert. She has also assisted a variety of authors with conceptualizing, developing and writing business books that not only establish thought leadership around a unique point of view but are even enjoyable to read.

Throughout her career, Marla has managed numerous website copywriting projects; written, co-written and ghost-written articles, white papers, blogs and editorials; and developed newsletters, e-campaigns, social media strategies, advertising and sales tools that have directly influenced customer engagement, loyalty and sales.

On the PR side, she has secured expert interviews and byline articles with national media outlets such as The New York Times, The Christian Science Monitor, Inc. magazine, Chief Executive Magazine and various trade publications.

Although sales and marketing teams don’t often see eye to eye, Marla has a long track record of building successful relationships with sales teams, from her role as Director of Marketing for a commercial real estate firm to her leadership roles at a compliance training company, where she managed instructional design, editing, packaging, video scriptwriting and production in addition to overseeing all strategic and creative marketing functions.

Based in Nashville, Marla grew up in Shreveport, La., and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a concentration in Writing from Tulane University in New Orleans. She has participated in the prestigious Kenyon Review Writers Workshop (Literary Nonfiction) and the Colgate Writers' Conference (Short Fiction). A regular volunteer for the Southern Festival of Books, she’s also proud to be a member and supporter of Nashville’s writers’ collective, The Porch.
